Global online travel agency Booking.com may undertake employee layoffs as part of a restructuring effort, according to Reuters.
In an email statement, Booking.com, a subsidiary of Booking Holdings, confirmed that the review process is still in its early stages, and no final decisions have been made.
The company added that while it is challenging, maintaining a strong position in a competitive industry and continuing customer-centered innovation is essential.
As of the end of 2023, Booking Holdings employed approximately 23,600 people globally, although specific figures for Booking.com’s workforce were not disclosed.
