The DMTCL authorities said that the Metrorail will be operational from Sunday (August 25) as per the new schedule. Today, on Saturday (August 24), DMTCL sources informed the matter.
They said that the necessary instructions for the passengers regarding metro rail travel will be available on the official website and Facebook page of DMTCL. However, the train will not stop at Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations for the time being. Passenger services will also be closed at those two stations.
According to the website , one-way travel tickets can be purchased from the metro rail station from 7:20 am to 8:50 pm. At the same time, the purchase of MRT Pass and MRT/Rapid Pass Top up can be done up to 08:50 PM. After this, all ticketing offices and ticketing machines at metro rail stations will be closed.
According to sources, on Sunday at 10 am, the advisor of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan will board from Agargaon Metrorail Station and get down at the Secretariat Metrorail Station. He will interact with the journalists present at the concourse level of the station (2nd floor, north side, non-paid zone).
