The implementation progress of the Annual Development Program (ADP) of the Information and Communication Technology Division for the financial year 2023-24 has been 101.26 percent. This information was presented in the review meeting on ADP implementation action plan in the new financial year held at the ICT Tower of Agargaon in the capital on Sunday.
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest in the meeting chaired by the ICT Secretary Md. Shamsul Arefin. According to the annual development program for the financial year 2024-25 presented in the meeting, the ICT Division has spent 214 crore 62 lakh Taka in June 2024 on a total of 21 projects out of 2511 crore 16 lakh taka of ADP allocation. 18 of these were investment projects. There were 2 technical and 1 self-funded SOF projects and program.
Year-wise allocation and expenditure assessment showed that in 2016-17 fiscal year, 9 percent of the allocation was spent, but in 2024-25, it has come down to 3 percent. In 2021-22, allocation and expenditure were equal.
The meeting was attended by BCC Executive Director Ranjit Kumar, Director General of ICT Directorate Md. Mustafa Kamal and project officers of each project.
