In order to create awareness about cyber security, various awareness programs related to cyber security are organized in Bangladesh like other countries throughout the month of October. As part of this, a day-long ‘Cyber Security Awareness Day-2023’ will be celebrated at Daffodil International University in Birulia Savar on Saturday (October 21). Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikdar will be present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony organized by BTRC and Daffodil International University at Daffodil Smart City at the International Conference Hall of Daffodil International University.
Daffodil International University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Lutfur Rahman will preside over the event. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzul Islam and Daffodil International University Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. SM Mahbub ul Haque Majumder will be present as guests of honor.
. Daffodil International University Dean of Science and Information Technology Faculty Professor Dr. Syed Akhtar Hossain will be present as special guest.
Commissioner of BTRC Dr. Mushfique Mannan Chowdhury will present the key note paper in the seminar. The head of the software engineering department of the university Dr. Imran Mahmud and Director and Associate Professor of Cyber Security Center Md. Maruf Hasan will speak at the event.
The day-long event will include cyber security seminars, training workshops, panel discussions, Google Hackathon contest, cyber security awareness project showcase and capture the flag competition. Hundreds of teams from all over the country will participate in this competition.
Organizers said that students, teachers, cyber security experts, BTRC officials and more than three hundred technology lovers will participate in this day-long event.
