According to the report, a robot named ‘Abigail Bailey’ has been appointed as a deputy head teacher of Cottesmore School in West Sussex, UK. Abigail will assist the school’s headmaster, Tom Rogerson, in various tasks.
Tom Rogerson told The Telegraph that Abigail has been appointed to provide advice on a range of issues, including tackling student inattention.
He said the AI deputy headteacher will teach a variety of topics including machine learning and educational management, analyzing large amounts of data.
Cottesmore School is a boarding preparatory school for students aged four to 14 in the United Kingdom. A student of this institution has to pay a fee of about 32 thousand pounds a year. It was previously named Tatler’s ‘Prep School of the Year’.
