To highlight Sheikh Russell to the future generations of the country and the world, on Sheikh Russell Day on Wednesday, 3D animated short film Amader Chhoto Rasel Sona (Our Little Russell) was enjoyed by hundreds of underprivileged children and students of various schools.
Many children were shocked and saddened seeing the film at Bangabandhu Military Museum’s Star Cineplex with State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at 3 pm.
After the first screening of this film made through the skill development project of mobile games and applications under the initiative of Information and Communication Technology Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, ‘we want the whole world including Bangladesh to be safe for children. No one else should ever have to suffer such a brutal murder like baby Russell. Also, I strongly demand to all the countries and international human rights organizations that those who are child killers and are on the run in America and Canada should be brought back and brought under justice
Those who were associated with the arrangement said, it is a ‘historic’ work. They have produced the film based on the idea from Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s book ‘Amader Chhoto Russell Sona’. It is skilfully adapted from the Prime Minister’s memoirs. This film will fascinate the audience of any age including children and teenagers. It is also possible to earn a huge amount of foreign exchange through this if you get the right sponsorship.
It is a period drama, seen through the eyes of a special child, drawn from the tragic history of one of the most influential families in the history of this country, they added. It is produced using internationally acclaimed storytelling techniques and scripts.
