Despite being promoted to the position of Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, The Ministry of Public Administration has canceled the order of appointment of Abdus Sabur Mandal to the ministry on Thursday (September 14). In the same notification, Additional Secretary of Public Security Division Md. Ali Hussain has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Earlier on September 5, Additional Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry’s Recruitment, Promotion and Posting (APD) Division Md. Abdus Sabur Mandal was promoted to the post of Secretary and posted to the Ministry of Science and Technology. Now the appointment order has been canceled due to administrative reasons, said the Ministry of Public Administration.
However, the order of promotion of Sabur Mandal to the post of Secretary has been effective from September 6. The notification also mentioned that he will be attached to the Ministry of Public Administration and perform his current duties until further appointment.
There are rumors in the administration that Science and Technology Affairs Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman did not agree to accept the new secretary Abdus Sabur Mandal. Due to this the order of Sabur Mandal has been cancelled.
