Today is the 74th birth anniversary of Shaheed Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, one of the organizers of the Liberation War and sports and cultural figure. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina released commemorative postal tickets, envelopes and seals on this occasion.

The Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present on the occasion. The Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Division Abu Hena Morshed Zaman and Director General of Postal Directorate Md. Harunur Rashid were also present at that time.
Sheikh Kamal was born on August 5, 1949 in Tungipara, Gopalganj. On the night of August 15, 1975, he was martyred at the age of 26 by a group of misguided army officers.
